Rumors amd Miscellanoeus:

-A clerk at the Doll hospital said that her understanding was that AGPLA was going to opening in November. She stated that they usually open new stores around Christmas

-CS clerk told me that she heard that the AGPLA was opening September of this year
and at the latest Janauary 2006.
**I plan to take the Metrolink down there soon and check things out******

-I picked up the donation form from CS regarding the possible prizes for our Halloween/Harvest Contest. The CS rep. was not sure we would get anything as donations are usually to benifit children. She told me to fax it in and at least try. When I got home today there was an answer to the email I had sent.They said no; they only donate to benefit children, while they did wish us the best and hoped we had a fun contest. I intend to draft a cover letter and still fax it with the donation form. If they say no twice -oh well we tried. [img]frown.gif[/img]

-I saw several girls and their moms were using Kaya for a non Native American representation. One Kaya doll was changed to represent a girl form India. She was dressed in a Sahri and had a jewel in the middle of the forehead. I also saw another Kaya doll was dressd in the new African Dance outfit. They both were cute!

-I did not see an Elizabeth display. Was that only for the debut 7/31? I walked through the whole historical floor and did not see her. I should have asked, huh??

-Guess what! That previous post was right about the fact that they they do not sell the online sale items in AGP's [img]redface.gif[/img] [img]frown.gif[/img] I was so ticked as I was going to get the Bitty Babies the Fall Harvest outfits on sale for $10. The clerk told me that the sale items had to be orderd online. I think they need to have a "Sale" room at AGP's in addition to the rooms for the various collections! [img]confused.gif[/img] [img]biggrin.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img]

Great trip so far! Can't wait to hear the rest!

The Elizabeth display was taken down right after the Premiere. Everything is on display in a room not accessible unless accompanied by a PS. If you had asked, they would have shown you. It will all be out on the floor Sept. 1.

Kaya as an Indian, that's a great idea. We have a doll we picked up from a thrift store. She is the girl from the very ending of Disney's Jungle Book-the one who "will carry the water," remember? The HSH clothes fit her pretty good. Now Gwen has an Indian teammate!

It does make sense for AG to open the LA AGP before Christmas like they did in NY. But the AG website says it is opening in the Spring 2006. Whichever, just get us pics! [img]wink.gif[/img]
